The idea of dieting is to eat when you really hungry and resist when you're not so hungry. If you starve yourself your body goes into starvation mode and you don't want that. EAT!

There are many foods that you can eat while you are dieting, so you don't have to get hungry.

The first of these is water. Water is a powerful appetite suppressant Start with 8 glasses of water a day and work up to 10 glasses. Yes, the first few days you'll pee a lot but then it tapers off.

Snacking on raw veggies is wonderful. Veggies are low in calories, low in carbs (except carrots & corn), high in fiber, which will fill you up and keep the munchies at bay.

Apples. Apples are a dieters friend. Gold's Gym actually has a diet that is based on eating 3 apples a day in addition to any other foods that you may want. The apples are high in water and fiber and keeps you full for quite a while. Part of the diet consists of having an apple before you eat your favorite junk food. The apple will fill you up so that you will eat much less of the junk food or possibly the apple could satisify you enough, so that you decide against eating foods you shouldn't.

It is also said that an apple takes more calories to digest it , than it actually has. They say that it takes around 30 additional calories over the calorie content of the apple to digest it. Eat 3 apples a day and automatically you have burned an additional 90 calories. 90 calories isn't much but remember that you also get to eat the 3 apples.

If you have a Costco by you, they have organic apples that are cut up and bagged. They have 8 individual packages wrapped together and the apples stay fresh for about 2 weeks. It's so easy to grab a bag, when hunger strickes or your on the run.

Oatmeal is another great fill up food. A bowl of oatmeal can keep you full for quite a while. Quaker Oats has come out with a weight control oatmeal, that has added fiber to keep you full longer. However, it does have allot of sugar so I prefer plain oatmeal. Yes, I miss my butter and sugar, but plain I can eat more than twice the amount and not stress about gaining any weight.

With so many different types of foods available you should never have to feel hungry.

When dieting you should eat small meals throughout the day, this keeps your metabolism working and if you eat the right foods you can help speed it up also which helps in dieting. But you should not skip meals or stop eating. You need to concentrate on what you are eating is good for you, and if you get really hungry in between meals, then drink water, lots of water.

Snack on low-calorie foods like fruits, vegetables, and drink plenty of water. Be sure to eat EVERYTHING on your diet if you are on some sort of structured eating plan regardless of whether or not you are not hungry. That will help balance out your hunger and put your body into some sort of rhythm.

Plenty of water, but do also give your stomach something to work with or it'll incessantly gnaw on your brain... carrot sticks, apple... chew each bite for as long as you can, taking small bites at that. Don't chew gum, that'll make you hungry - you chew, your stomach keeps looking up to see when you're sending the stuff down & it never comes, until it hits the panic button: Food! NOW! So, stay away from gum. Water. Have that.

hello there:
just make sure you eat every 3 hours for up to 12 hours. for example: if you get up at 5 am start at 6 am then eat at 9am, 12noon,3pm, 6pm the last meal will be 6pm and just keep active or drink water before during and after every meal for better results. by eating every 3 hours you are training your body to control the hunger pains for up to every three hours.

good luck and make sure you include your food groups.

You should never feel "hunger pangs" when you are dieting. If you don't eat, your matabolism slows down. Eat a healthys snack (fruit, veggies) in between and you wont be hungry and you will stay healthy!!

eat a mint or ice to keep your mouth busy. or eat celery or something with very few calories.

no diet though, should make you so you are so hungry you get pains. look into the one you're following and adjust it and/or make sure you're following it correctly. if you are and you're still getting pains, find a new one. that's unsafe and only makes your body hold onto its fat more.

Make sure you're getting enough protein. Stay away from simple carbohydrates. Drink water and milk. Something about calcium from milk helps us to control weight.

Drink a lot of water, until your stomach is full.
This also flushes your system, and helps to lose the weight.
