If you have some confectioner's sugar, you can make a simple glaze using confectioner's sugar and milk, water, juice or coffee. Mix it up and pour over the cake - it will harden and be very pretty and tasty. You could also just dust the cake with confectioner's sugar.
You could frost your cake with some whipped cream or Cool Whip.
You can top with fruit.
You can melt a little jelly, orange marmalade, etc in the microwave and then glaze the cake - this will look very pretty and glossy.
You could just cut the cake and top with a scoop of ice cream.
You can mix up some instant pudding and frost the cake with that.
You could sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over it.
Hope that gives you some ideas.

If you have 3 large egg whites, 5 cups of confectioner's sugar and some vanilla extract, you can make your own by using an electric mixer.

Sieved icing or caster sugar, melted chocolate, whipped fresh cream and crumbled chocolate flake bars (my personal fave), or berries or other fruit, with an apricot jam glaze.

Orange marmalade and roasted nuts then swirl some melted chocolate on it. Or I have seen people use powdered sugar mixed with butter.

Do you have canned pineapple or something like that? You can take brown sugar and mix it with the juice and use the pineapple on top of it whether it be crushed or chunks...good stuff!
