Can't imagine why being diagnosis ed with a disability this would affect how someone thought of you. You didn't mention what type of disability, however this shouldn't really make any difference. hmm, perhaps you view yourself differently since having a disability, and your perception is that people are not taking you seriously. Also ask the ones whom you care most about ,just say I feel your not taking me seriously.
