yes, as kids we were never allowed cheese before we went to bed..now as an adult I consciously avoid it before bedtime...not sure if it has been proven officially but certainly something that a lot of people swear by. must be true

Hi well somepeople say its a load of rubbish, but infact if you eat red cheese it does, white cheese is fine. Im the living truth that coloured cheese does it especially red leicester. My fiancee didnt believe me that coloured cheese does it. it doesnt matter how much you eat of it. I ony had a slither or cheese to prove it to him. Later that night i was waking him up in panick after having a horrid dream, then he believed me. There not like monster nightmares. Its like your worse fears, like someone dieing you love, or a disater or something. I wake up and my heart is pounding. So its not a lot of cheese and its not all cheese. Its all the colourings in the cheese that trigers something in the brain. I have to eat non coloured cheese now, As i will always be having horrid dreams. Even cheese slices do it. No matter what time in the day i eat the cheese. If its going to effect me it will. So you fiancee is half right with the nightmares, but its red cheese or coloured.

No, the rumour is if you eat it before bed, you get nightmares. Eating too much will simply make you gain weight.
