I rescued 2 3 weeks old kittens and was told by the vet to use a product called De Flea Pet and Area Spray- it is a natural spray that you put on kittens and puppies and then wash off so they do not ingest it when they clean themselves. If the flea problem is really bad, you can use advantage and it works quickly and takes little effort- the only concern there is a reaction to the skin because it is a strong poison. Both will work though, good luck with your baby!

Bathe them. Really. In the kitchen sink, utilising shampoo. The shampoo will smother the fleas. Start strolling water. Once the water is hot (approximately like a little one bottle),plug up the sink so the water does not drain out. Put the kitten within the sink.Put best sufficient water in order that it's chest top at the kitten. The kitten will commonly wiggle round, so preserve a organization grip on it. Have tons of towels equipped. Leave the shampoo on as log as you'll be able to(or so long as the kitty will tolerate it). The fleas will transfer as much as the top to escape from the water. You will must decide on those off. Just placed the fleas within the soapy water. They will drown.Once you do not see any further fleas, rinse the kitten. Rinse once more. Soap could make a kitty ill. Dry the kitty off. you'll be able to use a blow dryer for this.If you begin bathing cats whilst they're younger, they get used to it.

Contact your vet. They will have flea treatment for kittens that young. DO NOT use dish-washing detergent of any brand on your kitten. There is a reason they call it "DETERGENT" Frontline is safe after 8 weeks, NOT BEFORE. If it does not have too many, try just using a flea comb. Have some spray handy to spray a flea which is ON the comb.

At the shelter I work at we have applied Advantage on kittens as young as three weeks. It is safer than flea amemia. Then you are probably going to have to treat for tapeworks too.
Flea collars DO NOT work and are toxic, espieially to kittens.
Be aware that if you go with just a shampoo, there are probably already fleas in the house laying eggs........so very soon you will have a NEW outbreak!!!!!!! That is why Advantage or Frontline is better. No bombing, sparying,or constant bathing!!!!!!
And no repeated tapeworm infections!!!!!

OH YEAH YOU CAN GIVE HIM ADVANTIGE .. IT IS HARMLESS AGAINST KITTENS. I RESCUED MY KITTENS AND TOOK THEM INTO THE VET THAT DAY AND THEY WERE ABOUT 2 WKS OLD AND THE VET GAVE THEM THE ADVANTAGE ON THE BACK OF THERE NECKS. YOU CAN BUY ADVANTAGE BASICALY AT ANY PET STORE. SOMETIMES YOU CAN FIND IT AT A DRUG STORE. IT IS ONLY LIKE 20.00 YOU TAKE THE CLEAR JELLY LIKE SUBSTANCE AND APPLY IT TO THE BACK OF HIS NECK AND THE FLEES SHOULD BE GONE IN ABOUT 10 - 20 MIN. AFTER YOU SHOULD PROBABLY GIVE HIM A BATH. BEST OF LUCK TO YOU AND YOUR KITTY.
