Prisoners are usually crowed into small cells.Odors are often strong and sickening food served does not always taste very good. Toilet facilities are limited.A night spent in jail is very long, lonely night

Are you talking about most county jails or prisons? I have been to both - spent 129 days in county jail in Oklahoma and then went on to prison. The county jail was the worst by a long shot. Of coarse I live in a state where Prison is an industry. They treat you like you are the lowest form of humanoids that there are. Not enough to eat, not enough toilet paper. Toothpaste that doesn't clean. Lye soap to take showers with. LIce is everywhere. Fights and all sorts of things. If you are facing jail time. Please email me and will be more than happy to tell you more and tell me what state you are in, because some states do consider you a human being and even let you watch TV. It's a very hard time for you to go through. Some people adjust well, but I didn't. I cried everyday I was there. And served 20 months on a three year sentence for forgery. Will I do it again? hell NO!

I've been in jail a couple of times, and I'll tell you, I've never had a vacation that good.

I have visited an ex-wife in a local county jail in Mobile Alabama where we live, it will rip your heart out, cold, clammy, dirty, dark, stinks like sweat!
