It all depends on if the verses you talk about are interpreted.
I have seen, on YA!, someone use a Bible verse to answer a question. Basically it said "here is the verse as it is written. Here is your answer." But then I have seen the same verse used and "interpreted" to mena something entirely different then what it says and what it was use for in the first answer.
Bible verses are "interpreted" to be used however it suits the indiviual. It just depends on how it it used and who it is being used against.

Because they already have it set in their mind, "This is the Absolute, 100% Word of God". And that belief will come before anything you show them. They will find a way to rationalize it all away by finding other verses that, alone, will "fix" the problem. Blind Faith.

Most atheists have a mind set finding paradoxes and inconsistencies the Bible more than attempting to have a open mind and possiblity that the Bible could be the Truth.

I hope you don't think that people who answer ur questions are taking you seriously. The fact that atheists and unbelievers are here in this forum is a big Joke! It's too funny!

I read that question when you posted it, and I still don't see what your point was.

And the other guy had a point, many atheists on here are so obessed with the Bible, they find miniscule verses taken out of context and broadcast it as an "obvious contradiction."

because they generally are not true inconsistencies just attempts at twisting scripture and taking material out of context to make a mute point. And if atheists don't believe in a god why do they spend so much time trying to prove hes not there?

This is the ultimate question in life. I debate on many various forums, and the usual justification for Christianity is "I have faith" and anything that definitively goes against their beliefs is "Not true."

I've heard different stylized versions of what I jsut said, but it all boils down to the same argument.

There are no inconsistencies in the bible...only in your understanding of it.....

Read I Corin. 2
The reason you can't understand it is because you do not know the author...and to understand requires you to have the revealation of the Holy Spirirt....
If you re still in sin you will never get it....you are not suppose to until you repent and receive Christ.
