Nope. I wouldn't presume to, either. From observation, if I say that one of my cats will do one thing, they'll do exactly the opposite, just for pure spite. I swear they understand a lot more than they let on.
For example, we were having the garden done, with beds being put in the lawn and planted. I said to the gardener that he'd done a lovely job, and I was really impressed that the cats hadn't started using the flower beds as a toilet. That's when Layla sauntered on through the kitchen, out the back, straight to the first flower bed, and did a number two. Whilst the gardener and I were watching. Comedic timing? Perfect.

I always used to think that if you knew the answer to this then you would be able to understand women!

Truth is, cats are the Alpha males of this planet. After nearly thirty years of studying them I have concluded that their mind is specifically programmed to get whatever they want in life. Now, unlike the dog (or woman) they won't perform to get what they want in ant shape or form. They won't beg, perform tricks or do anything at all to please you. But you will give them exactly what they want! You desire to keep them happy!

Admittedly, in the last 60 years or so, the human female/male dynamic has changed somewhat. But compare that to the millions of years the human race has been around and you realise it is very, very new!

Therefore all cats are Men, eat when they want, sleep when they want, hunt when they want, and mate... Okay that one is still the women's decision!

Main point? They get what they want without trying!

Their minds are quite bizarre! They are always cosy (Hell, if I'm reincarnated, can I be a cat please?), vicious and mean on occasions (e.g. when hunting mice or my toes in the middle of the night) and they only cuddle when it suits them - oh, and they like food that moves, just like me!

So I've made a start. There are still many mysteries to be discovered, but I must admit that I'm far more successful with them than with the species called men...

no one knows how the mind of anything works, much less the workings of an animal like a cat who has a mind of it's own and will do exactly what it wants to do exactly when and where he/she wants to do it. hope that helps

Cats think they are the boss and we are only very lowly servants fit only to make their lives as comfortable as possible.

One of my cats (Mono) is sitting in front of me now - I'll ask him......
.........

He just looked at me and rotated his left ear as if you say "Haven't you got any thing better to do than ask stupid questions? How about opening another tin of tuna"
