No sooner did Congress authorize construction of a 700-mile fence on the U.S.-Mexico border last week than lawmakers rushed to approve separate legislation that ensures it will never be built, at least not as advertised, according to Republican lawmakers and immigration experts.GOP leaders have singled out the fence as one of the primary accomplishments of the recently completed session. Many lawmakers plan to highlight their $1.2 billion down payment on its construction as they campaign in the weeks before the midterm elections.But shortly before recessing late Friday, the House and Senate gave the Bush administration leeway to distribute the money to a combination of projects -- not just the physical barrier along the southern border. Our politicians and government really upset me. Bunch of jerks who don't give two sh*ts about us. They're all in it for the money. Figures that some group of people woudl all of a sudden stand up and oppose the bill just as it's about to be passed.

Screw them - it's time we True Americans take matters into our own hands!

what about increasing homelessness poverty loss of middle class health and
no affordable housing for m any Americans?
in southern Calif 14% can now afford to own a home and we're building walls that Will do NO real good ? to appease some we hate the hispanics voters?
and wait till dems in office and ask them to balance the budget again.?

Already had heard about this on the news about 2 days ago was transmitted all over the spanish news stations.anywho's like I have said many times they never really wanted to build the wall,they just did it thinking it would shut up a few people.They are all just buying their time till the november elections are over and then it will be back to business as usual.they act like Schwarzenegger on day he is pro illegal the next he is anti just depending on what the polls say.All he cares about is his reelection and everyone else be damned.

thats pathetic. i say we just build a 20 ft electric fence all across the border with a minefield behind it, send all illegals home--why not?, and throw all people who hired illegals in jail.
