If the county jails can t properly house inmates then alternatives to incarceration should be seriously considered. The fact of the matter is that in overcrowding inmates makes the administration of those institutions criminals because they violate fire safety codes and maximum capacity regulations they allows them to operate. If a fire marshal walked into a club exceeding maximum capacity regulations they would shut the place down or take a nice palm greasing to keep their mouth shut. I ll let you figure out what s happening!!!!

Excuse me...we should compensate inmates who have to sleep on the floor? Are you crazy? They have the good life...food, clothing and shelter not to mention education all provided free by the taxpayers! If you truly believe we should compensate prisoners who have to sleep on the floor, you are an idiot!!

surely not.........mind you I can just see some numb nutz taking it up as a human rights BS case at some point, personally got to love that guy who has the inmates sleeping in tents in the desert with NO ac.when they bitched and moaned about it he told them our guys where serving in hotter temps than then so stop there whingeing....maybe he could get a job running ALL the prisons, cos he sure has got it right.
Jail IS meant to be a punishment period end........not a cot and 3 hots.............often more than some of the elderly in this country have to look forward to each day.

I sure hope the judge slaps enough fine and court cost on any convicted inmates to recoup tax payers losses,
Do the crime- - -pay with time and fine.

They commit a crime & go to jail & you want them to be compensated for the incovenience of getting caught!!!!!!
