Why are some people so cruel?

I'm 5'1 maybe 5'2 I weigh 145. I'm a little on the chubby side. I'm trying very hard to lose weight. I've been eating only fruits and veggies and exercising at least 3 times a day. I've heard one of the best exercises is walking, because you're using all your muscles. Anyway, today I was walking my dog, and this Mexican was talking to his friend and looked at me and said something about perro(dog) and gordo(fat). I'm not very fluent in Spanish, but I know enough to know he was talking about me. Saying "look at the fat girl walking the dog"Why are people so cruel? I was just minding my own business. I didn't say no Mexican jokes. I don't believe in racism or judging others. I know I shouldn't even care, but my feelings are still hurt. I mean, at least I'm trying to lose weight. U know?

Hey don't take care about poeple who jugde you, that mexican guy is just a loser and are all those others who judge people that they don't know from the inside and from the outside. I will only tell you that you're doing a great job by eating veggies, fruits and exercising which is very important, drink lots of water too, only stay away from junk food. You will lose weight by time for sure. Don't give up and good luck :)

It may be because he has nothing worth doing with his life and taunts others for kicks. Don't worry about worthless insults. You are the better person for not stooping down to his level by insulting him back. Just wait, karma really is a *****. As for your diet, I hope everything goes well. Just keep you self confidence up and don't mind what other people say. Who knows, some of the people insulting you might just be jealous.

Yes, so many people judge you, but they dont understand, they think they no everything about you and can say whatever they want! but they just dont understandl. but I couldn't help but notice one thing you said you where only eating fruits and veggies. Thats not goos, its great you wanna eat healthy. But you need protein to build muscle if you excercise, whole grains for energy and healthy unsatuarated fats actually HELP you lose weight if eaten in moderation (thats the fat in olive oil and legumes)

I kno what you mean even on yahoo answers some people will be mean if i miss spell a word. It makes me wonder what has the world come to be i dont understand why people are so mean either and congradulations for at least taking steps to losing weight forget every loser who tells you bad about yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh my gosh, r u ok? i know that people can be soooo mean! u just have to deal with it, like alot of people say, the world isnt nice. and once u dont let other peoples mean jokes get to u, the better. remember karma sucks, and it will take care of him, so dont worry! that was messed up though.

i give you credit for exercising and dieting, thats awesome.. i dont think there ever will be an answer as to why people are so mean.. as long as humans exist someone will be mean, its pretty ridiculous though.
