These recipes are for the traditional Ukrainian food. Ukranians have been using them for centuries. Generally each family cooks these dishes in their own special way.

Here are some recipes with descriptions:

Ukrainian Borshch (cabbage, beetroot & tomato soup). In Ukranian cuisine, the borshch is the first dish to mention. It's the most widespread Ukrainian dish.

Rozsolnyk (meat soup with marinated ucumbers) Rozsolnyk is translated as salty soup. Iit contains very salty marinated cucumbers.

Golubtsi (stuffed cabbage-rolls)

Varenyky with cottage cheese.It's a very popular dish in Ukraine. Varenyky can be either with savoury, or sweet filling.

Deroony (potato pancakes) Deroony are savoury potato pancakes that can be eaten both as main course and as a snack, and sometimes even as a starter.

Mlyntsi (pancakes with jam)

Vatrushky (cheese tarts) Vatrushka is a savoury open tart with cottage cheese. It's the Ukrainian national snack
