well, they are in the ground but I dont think they are under as far as the mythical Hell. They are dead and buried. Gone. Nowhere but in their little holes where they will spend eternity. There is no hell. But, if there were,
Every religion in the world today states that if you do not believe in that religions specific God then you will spend eternity in Hell, or some form thereof. So, if Muslims don't believe in the Christian God then all Muslims go to Hell. If Christians don't believe in the Muslim God then all Christians are doomed to hell. Well if this is the case, isn't everyone that belongs to any religion going to go to Hell? They sure don't believe in the other religions God. They only people that don't seem to be damned for eternity are atheists.

The Bible teaches that all people, good or bad go to hell when they die. Hell (Hebrew sheol and Greek hades) is the common grave. The Bible makes it clear that the dead do not feel anything, neither pain nor pleasure.
Eccl.9:10: " For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing--"
Psalm 146:4--"His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish."
Both animals and people go to the same place at death:
Eccl 3:19-20--"For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity. All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again."
So the dead are not suffering--only in a deep sleep until God through his Son resurrects them back to life and there will be a resurrection of both good & bad people. Acts 24:15: "And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.

Jesus has the keys of death and hell. He will resurrect all who are in hell and then they will be judged--some to everlasting life and the rest will be put out of existance. God is love and would never torture imperfect humans---"Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love." (1 John 4:8)
Satan tries to paint God as sadistic and cruel. This he has accomplished through the false teachings of Christendom.

Jesus said-
"The kingdom of heaven is HERE and NOW."
It would stand to reason therefore that the kingdom of Hell is the same.

Therefore, by simple deduction, All atheists are in heaven and hell, right now. And so are we all.

So the answer to your question is yes.

By definiton atheism (no belief in a personal god) would imply that all atheists are in Hell according to the Bible.

Atheists don't believe in God, so once they find themself in hell after they die, they would know they were wrong, and thus they would know that God does exist, so therefore they would no longer be an atheist.

NO....One second after death, everyone will believe

Luke 16

22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:
28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

The rich man found out it was too late once he died.

Hebrews 9:27

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

When will your last breath be? Come to Jesus today....you may not be here tomorrow

Yoda Green....yes there are many that use religion to get money, but many do not. I have not asked for a dime since starting Shattered Men but I have paid out thousands. I know several pastors that do not get paid to be a pastor and some work other jobs to keep their church going. It is a labor of LOVE for those of us who love the LORD and care that people, (perhaps you) will die and go to hell if we do not proclaim the good news of JESUS.
