The council of Nicea did not debate issues of which book were canonical. They discussed other issues, including which beliefs were orthodox and established the Nicene Creed.
Issues of which books were canonical were settled later. Also this was not done they way it is usually portrayed in the "we like this and not this" manner, but rather in the "everyone reads this an already accepts this" manner. Those books that were rejected either had little circulation or contradicted other books that were accepted.

The Council at Nicea didn't add or take away anything to or from the book the John wrote about the revelation given to him. Paul wrote his epistles before John had that revelation, so he couldn't have added or taken away anything either. I really don't see what your question means? Are you assuming John's words apply to all the books in the Bible? He was not referring to anything other than what he'd written. Why does this bother you, anyway?

It applies to any and everyone. But this scripture runs agains their pagan teaching that everyone goes to heven via purgatory, which is adding to the bible, also teaching that Mary is co-redemptrix, and about a hundred other pagan rituals that Emperor Constantine put into the cult when he started it.

You've been reading too many Da Vinci Deception books, Pal....you seem very easily deceived.
Learn the Scriptures and apply it to YOUR life ; otherwise you haven't got a prayer.
" Now the Spirit speaks expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils, speaking lies in hypocrisy..."(1Tim.4:1)
"...But evil men and seducers shall wax wore and worse, deceiving and being deceived." (II Tim. 3:12)

BIBLE was non - existent at the time and there were other texts being written in Early times so these passages might have referred to some other texts entirely.

He wasn't talking about the Bible, which didn't exist yet. He was talking about his own book of Revelations.
