Staph is very life threatening. I would be more in than out of the hospital if I were your ex. Some strains of Staph are nearly impossible to wipe out without longtime I V antibiotics.

Every situation is different however, staph infections are very serious conditions and need to be supervised constantly. If there are any signs that the person is getting even the slightest bit worse, you should seek immediate medical attention.

The severity depends on the strain of infection.

It's mostly immune to antibiotics, but even then it's used as a first treatment, there ARE further treatments available, however, namely vancomycin.

yes. staph can be very deadly. and fast. your ex needs to be IN the hospital---not in and out.

if it were me, i'd have my a s s IN the hospital and hooked up to a steady drip of vancomycin----or i'd be in the doctor's face wanting to know why not.

this is about as serious as it gets---staph isn't a joke.

This is a MRSA bacteria and there are treatments for it. If you fail to seek appropriate treatment you will be in trouble and he could quickly die from it. An ID (infectious disease) doctor specializes in treatment. Seek their help.
