Is something piercing it? If so, remove it.

Do you have a fever? If so you will need to see a doctor for antibiotics.
Take some over the counter pain killers for the pain like tylenol, advil etc.

I am sorry it hurts so much.

When I was little I used to get ear aches frequently. I know this is going to sound nasty but, trust me, it WORKS. Get a clove of garlic (YES, garlic) & heat it up on the stove. Make sure it's nice & warm. Let it cool of a bit & then insert it inside of your ear. The warmth of the garlic (& its juices) will help calm the pain. Also, if you have some glycerin at home, you can try adding a couple of drops of that into your ear...I really hope you feel better. I know they hurt a lot. If you still have pain, go to the doctor, I'm sure they know what you can take for the pain.

Sounds like an ear infection. Go to the doctor. Try a placing a hot water bag or heating pad on ear. Helps a little till you can see a doctor.

I've had them - not fun. I'm sorry for your pain!

I used to get the worse earaches when I was little. Yours sounds like an ear infection. If it feels like there's fluid in there, you could try pouring a small amount of rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide into the ear canal and let it stay in there for a few minutes before you let it run out.

There is an old wives tale, that says, if you have an ear ache, use a hair dryer. NOT directly, but use it near the air, kinda in a circular motion, and it should help.

I have no idea why this actually helps, but it does. Hasn't failed me yet...

((Also works to quiet a crying baby... At least, you don't hear the baby cry while you are using it... lol! ))

Go to the emergency room asap! You could have an inner ear infection. Your ear drum is very sensitive and you don't want to risk loosing your hearing...............
