Don't know much about Science books, Don't know much about
the French I took but I do know that I love you and I know that if
you love me too "What a Wonderful World It Would Be" it's by
Herman's Hermits those British blokes who sang with a Cockny
accent. "Henry the 8th I Am"

The song is "What a Wonderful World" by Sam Cooke.
It was also done by Herman's Hermits about 1965 and much later by James Taylor.

(What A) Wonderful World By Sam Cooke, later redone by Herman's Hermits...can be found, among other places on the Animal House Movie Soundtrak,NOT to be confused with the song What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong form the movie Good Morning, Viet Nam.
