People are blinded by their own beliefs. There are still to many people in the world who believe "my god is better than your god".

All religions do not worship the same diety, and some religions even have few similarities.
Having said that, there are some religions, like Christianity and Islam, in which some of the believers feel that the other religion is somewhat similar to theirs. For example, I am a Christian and I realize that both I and a Muslim worship ONE GOD ONLY, and we both have a sacred book, and there was a very important prophet that brought the teachings of the religion. However, there are very different beliefs within the teachings, and the essential elements of Christianity are different than that of Islam.
There are also those religions that have almost nothing in common, like Christianity and Hinduism. Hinduism has many gods, they believe in reincarnation, they have a strict caste system, and many believe in doing good deeds to please the gods.
I am being general here so as not to take too much space up, and I hope I don't offend, but I strongly disagree with the idea of thinking all religions are very similar. I do believe that everyone should be extremely sensitive about others beliefs, and not insult anyone else's religion, and I think we should also be tolerant. But I don't think we need to go so far as to think we worship the same being as other religions. After all, if that was true, then why are there so many religions?

it is because, some teach only part truth. You will recall that in the Garden of Eden the devil preached truth along with a lie. He said, "Thou shalt not surely die." That is false doctrine. He also said, "For God doth know that in the day that ye eat thereof your eyes shall be opened and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil." That is the truth. This made the lie more deceptive.Did Adam and Eve sin when they believed and obeyed that? Why, certainly they did. It was half a truth and half a lie.you may say, "We'll just stand for half of it, and we'll tell the Lord that we did not believe the other half. that leads into error and condemnation just the same.

Because all believers see their version of the "supreme being" as superior to all others.

And worshipers of others versions as some how inferior.

They "can't see" it because it's not there to be beheld.

While there are numerous similarities in numerous religions, the differences are glaring and irreconcilable with one another.

Jesus said He is the way, truth and life. We can't enter Heaven except through only Him. He is God. I would believe Him and not man.
