I met someone while visiting the US. She is the kind of a woman I always dream and wish in my lifetime! I must take her back with me to Canada.
Anybody knows how long of a process if I marry her in the US and bring her back as a wife? She is from another country and have overstayed her visa as a visitor in the US, would that be a problem?
Also, what if i take other route as a solution. Let her come to Canada as a visitor and marry her there? Any help would much be appreciated.. Thanks in advance.

you need to research on your govt laws on a bad visa if marry now still may not be valid. and you will be investigated it can be very big pain.
better she gets visa for your country then find the time limits to marry get to know each other be sure or you visit her homeland. all's legal see culture ,family be more sure.!

she would probably be granted a visitor visa to Canada if you were with her and she had proof of enough money. If she is Filipina, she would need money of her own. You should get some advise from Immigration consultants, but most of them are untrustworthy. YOU may sponsor her as a nanny if you have any elders or small children in your family.

Good luck.

I know from friends that the government is cracking down on people that marry foreign nationals and try to bring them back to Canada.

Your best bet is to contact the immigration department and ask them. They're probably going to tell you that she has to apply for Canadian immigration from another country. If she's over stayed her welcome in the USA, she'll probably need to go back to where ever she came from.

Friend of mine had to wait over a year for his wife to join him here in Canada.
