It shouldn't be. If you are the common denominator in these relationships, you need to look at yourself. Why do YOU have such difficulty being friends w/ the opposite sex?

You saying you think it's their fault is pretty sexist and clearly it takes two to cause a problem, regardless of how much of the problem will be caused on one side or the other.
It's difficult to have friends of the opposite sex because of sexual attraction. How can you REALLY be close friends with someone you find attractive in every way, or they to you? Ultimately, one of the other is going to feel irritated because they either can't have you, or you can't have them, it's that simple. And your BEST TRUE friend in the world will be your lover, who is the opposite sex (unless your a different orientation). So because of that, anyone else of the opposite sex will NEVER feel as close to you as the one main squeeze you have. It's an irritating feeling knowing you can't have more with your opposite-sex-friend that you like. Just because their your friend doesn't mean their sexual attraction desires dissappear. And it's not even about respect, it's about natural desire you can't ignore.
Any girls who says it's easy and has tons of guy friends, I guarentee she isn't that close with, and that at least one of them likes her more for than just friends but hides it. You can be frirends, but BEST friends, unless your "together."

I don't have any problems really with friendship with the opposite sex. In fact a lot of my friends are males I get along with them great. Tell your male friends that's all you want is friendship so they are clear on that fact.

its really easy! guys are SOOOO easy to talk to and soo funny...i find it easier to keep guy friends then girls cuz guys arent stupid bitches
