i have 4 inputs on tv along with hdmi i want to be able to record on to the vcr but i cant get a picture when i hit record, i have spilter and i tryed running it in to the vcr but i cant get anything to work

The output of the satellite box has to go to the input of the VCR. The output of the VCR has to go to the iinput to the TV... nuff said?

Do that and you will kill your HD. What you do is you connect it like two seperate items.

1 connect your satelite box to your tv with HDMI.

2 Connect you vcr with the Red White and Yellow one set from the box to the VCR and one set out to the TV.

When you want to record you will have to change the output on the Sat box to 480i. That is the only way it will output on the composite(yellow) or S-video.

Last thing why on earth would you hook up a vcr to a HDTV. Did you ask the car dealer for the 8track Option Too.

They make an HD DVR for satellite. I highly recommend that. Both direct and dish have them.

Why don't you connect yourself to "Welcome to America" to learn English?
