I am not a person that is very dramatic and could probably be considered pretty shy and when I was filled with the Holy Spirit I did not shake like that. Everyone has a different experience with God and everyone worships differently too. I don't cry very often and so when I pray and cry or worship and cry I know that I am letting God work and I just let Him. Sometimes I don't cry but my heart is for God, it's the inside and not the outside that matters. Also, I know people that dance and shout and cry and leave church the same and their walk with God doesn't seem to be what it should after they leave the church. I know other people who are quiet and rarely lift their hands or dance and they have an awesome walk with God. You CANNOT judge by the outside. We all have different personalities that God uses in different ways.
I haven't seen all the video but from what I saw there was nothing wrong with it, it was pretty exciting to me. I love when our kids pray and walk in the gifts of God

To some viewers, and I am one, it's apparent that the childen in the film "Jesus Camp" are being subjected to a form of mind control. The information they are provided is one-sided, and many of these children aren't old enough to even comprehend that there may be other view points to consider. The fact that it's adults who are perpetrating this kind of behavior towards children is even more disturbing, because these adults know that children look up to them for guidance and direction, and know how easy it is to sway a childs thinking.
As to the children receiving the Holy Spirit, I'll leave that up to the individual viewer as to whether or not they believe, as obviously you do, that those children truly understand what it means to receive the Holy Spirit. You should be commended that you wanted to know what the controversy was about, and came to this site for information. I hope you will continue to ask questions, and be thoughtful about the answers you get, whether or not they reflect your beliefs. And that brings me to my main point about this film--that those kids aren't given an opportunity like you have here to ask questions and receive many different viewpoints on their beliefs and their faith. Good luck to you, dear, and keep asking questions whenever you can.

I don't believe in spirits. I've never seen one. But I've seen people go nuts in a church. That doesn't prove anything to me. People can be good actors - just look at Tom Cruise!

Yes they are scared of The Holy Spirit, and they hate anything that will not conform to what they think is the norm.

Like I said before, the woman in the clip I saw said "Christians aren't radical enough" (in principle not word for word) She thinks that Muslims are winning the war on terror because Christians don't have the same mindset.

I've seen people do it too! And I was laughing out loud and people were trying to say, "OH! He has a tongue, laughter is his tongue!" Until I pointed at the people thrashing on the floor and said, "No, I'm laughing at the power of auto-hypnosis, you people are idiots!"

They threw me out for some reason. *shrugs*

it's not scary to you because you are part of the same mass delusion.
I don't fear that which does not exist, but I fear for the future that those children are being indoctrintated and manipulated.
