There's a Big Red Button 2 the side of the Doors, on the outside.
Used by the Emergency Services.

There is a small door on the side of the bus. It has a locked cover and there is an outside button for opening and closing the door.

If the bus in parked at the garage, the maintenance worker does. If it is on the street and he is just going for coffee or something, he leaves the driver's window open and he closes the entrance door. When he comes back he put his hand in the driver's window and open the entrance door.

you can push the doors shut after you get off the bus and then pull them back open when you want to re-enter the bus

there is a switch on the outside too. most bus drivers don't use it though they just push them shut manually.
