(Veils are the things that cover a persons entire face except the eyes).
Here is my argument straight to the point:
A muslim could wear a veil then go and shoplift, assault someone or commit some crime; and no witness or CCTV would be able to identify them.
Not only that, any non-muslim could wear a veil pretending to be a muslim and then go and commit a crime.
To cut it short: What better disguise would a terrorist want?
What better disguise would a terrorist need?
And all the terrorism recently, I think people who wear veils in the UK (a non-muslim country) are being rather disrespectful, we do a lot here to keep muslims happy (even the immigrants), they should show some respect back.

There had been muslim women wearing veil in UK very long time ago. Why now people became so caring about them!! I tell you a btter solution. At every point that need to check the identity of people, put a women and a curtain then any muslim women wearing veil would be happy to expose her face to her and let her confirm her identity. This should include people with very big sun glass or hat and people with heavy cosmetics or big hair falling on the face etc. so to IDENTIFY the people is O.K. but to single out only the muslim women is..... you know it, right?

There are definite security issues with anyone hiding their face. I do not want a total ban, but I think that shops and banks should have the right to refuse admittance. I do think that they should be baned on any high value targets like subways and airlines.
To those that think it is being disrespectful,it is quite the double standard that in countries like Saudi Arabia western women are forced to wear a head scarf because it would be disrespectful not to. Same thing except we actually have something to be afraid of.

NO- the muslims have their faith traditions and ethnic backgrounds just as we do. Should you have something banned that you believe in? Should you like for another to tell you what you can wear or how to cut your hair etc becasue of terrorists?? We too, should have respect for veils being worn. It is not the muslims who wear "veils" that do terrorist acts. It is the "terrorists" who do things that would use a disguise if so.
There is a difference, and not respecting people who do wear veils is being disrepectful.

I agree with a lot of what you say. However, I notice that many of those who wore the vein on television were English people who were converted to Islam. Quite honestly, I think they were taking the pee and did not want to be recognised. I think that 'When in Rome, do as the Romans do'. As for the Police Officer who asked to be relieved of duties at the Israeli Embassy because of the Lebanon invasion and the fact that his wife was Lebanese, I find that remarkable. If he makes a judgment like that and it is accepted, what do the supervisors do if someone is totally anti homosexuality and is posted to a Gay Parade. Or a person who is totally anti Alcohol refusing on principal to police in the vicinity of licensed premises. Has the UK gone completely mad or am I the only one who thinks so............

Yo man, only the women wear veils and why should they be banned? Its a religious way of living. Why is it so disrespectful? Is it disrespectful because you don't like it. I think that's what it is, you don't like it. Maybe you should be respectful to everyone and do yourself a favour.

I think you are doing nothing for Muslims in the UK. Muslims in the UK are successful because of their attitude and hardworking. Loser and illiterate like you has no place in the civilized world. Get over your hatred to Islam - due to the latest figures Islam will be the lagest religion surpassing Christianity by year 2015.

Muslim women have a choice of whether or not to wear the veil
I think it should be there choice and not ours to push this on to them
I am not a Muslim but I am a christian and I think there are worse problems in the world for you to concern yourself with than to discuss someones choice in clothing

Yes, I think they should be banned. I think people should integrate when they come to this country. The veil in question can cause people to feel threatened. Also, there is nothing to stop people from hiding explosives under long traditional dresses, so perhaps they should go too.

Really veils can be used by Indian people so it is not only muslims who get this. So don't blame muslims, and right now muslims are having a tough time because they are fasting(not eating from sunrise to sunset) thats why they are in a bad mood.
