Likas papaya soaps?

I've been using this soap for about a week now, how long do you have to use it to see any resultS in your skin lightening?

I used it about 3 years and had to stop cause it made me white as a ghost. It's gradual so you won't take notice to the change, but someone that hasn't seen you in a while will probably notice.
