As a US Army Soldier serving in Iraq, I have researched this subject thoroughly. For my Conscience, I needed to.
Over 2500 soldiers have died since the start of the Iraq war and I read about more in Stars and Stripes every week.
A report provided to congress in October of 2005 stated that over 26,000 Iraqis died between the start of the war and Sep 2005. The report also stated that it felt these numbers were not accurate and they should probably be higher. Please note, most of the civillians died due to insurgent activity. No other report has been released since. It is also notable to mention the following statistics.
In WWI, 1 civillian died for every 9 soldiers.
In Iraq, 11 civillians have died for every 1 coalition forces soldier. Gives you something to think on, doesn't it? These site should help

Nobody knows for sure.
There has never been an official count of Iraqis. Estimates are over 100,000.
As far as Americans are concerned, the official count is about 3000, but like everything official nowadays, it is a distorted picture.
This figure is people who have died in fighting in Iraq.
If they die the next day in a hospital, they are not counted. If they die after return home they are not counted.
Thousands have died and been maimed as a result of the depleted uranium shells used there. These shells produce radiation of a similar nature to a nuclear bomb, which causes very painful cancer and body disfigurement.

against the Iraq conflict yet on account that we began it we ought to end it. of course there is the possibility that with Saddam in potential we would have finally had to circulate to conflict in some unspecified time sooner or later. Who knows? I only think of the money would have been extra valuable spent in the united states of a on relatives potential progression. recommendations you, i'm not some fool who's blindly anti-conflict or anti-protection tension. till all human beings in the international ceases to be aggressive there'll continuously be a want for a protection tension. as long as worldwide places compete for land and supplies there'll be conflict. people who campaign to end all wars or do away with the protection tension stay in a dreamworld.

when you look at the iraqui casualties, remember to differentiate between the "insurgents", the police/army and the civilians
also look up the numbers of dead Iraquis before the war started. (app. 400 000 murdered by the secret police, and app. 1 000 000 in the war with Iran)
puts things into perspective.

From what I've heard, we've lost over 3000 soldiers...and killed over 30,000 Iraqis. Probably over 50,000 now though.

A fun video to watch on that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJnm-GmlbIk&mode=related&search=

For casualties related to the insurgency try either:
http://icasualties.org/ or http://www.iraqbodycount.org/

However, because the crime rate has sky-rocketed since Saddam's fall (or if you prefer, the government no longer monopolizes crime), the actual numbers of violent deaths is much higher than either of these sites report.
