It was the choice of God to make him illiterate. So that people like (some of) you won't blame that he himself wrote it.

Mohaamad was illiterate and did not write the Koran. Every word was dictated to him. But if Allah can teach him to say the koran and preach the koran and remember and get it written, why could Allah have not given him the ability to write the koran?

HE didn't make the Qur'an, he only heard the words. He was learn how to read, memorize and recite by Angel Gibrael.

Answer to bottom: We believe the torah and Bible have the word of Allah in them, but its hidden underneath all the crap people added. But even with the adding and subtracting, God's word is still under there and many basic tenets are still there.
Jesus (pbuh) had other miracles for his followers. Muhammad (s) only miracle was the Qur'an.
