We have a camper at the beach but the water there isn't drinkable so we take our water from home. Some containers were left there for a couple of weeks and I'm leary of drinking water that wasn't used right away if it isn't sealed. My husband thinks its safe to drink it. Please advise. Thanks

strict no. milk contains bactria with it.
tap water also contains bactria and micro-organisms.

2-weeks is enough time for them to grow. you are putting your system to health risk by drinking them. stop him immediately

After living in a camper for 3 years I can answer this one with some authority. From my experiance I'd say yes. Tap water is cheap, very cheap. If it had been sealed up it would be fine as long as the jug was clean to start. Bottled water will last forever. Poland Springs water sits for months in some stores. Then months more in some homes before it is used.

On the other hand if it isn't closed up use it for washing up or doing dishes. Boiling will kill anything harmful to humans.

I really wouldn't - it may have bacteria or fungus growing in it, and you can't be sure of what may have blown in, if it was left uncovered. If you're in desperate need, boil it well, but if you can avoid using it, I would!

You could boil it first.

It might be OK, but I'd be a little leery too without boiling or treating somehow.
