Is it wrong to say that you are going to pray and then not do it? I am not particularly talking about me, I am just talking about when people ask other people to pray for them or you say that you are going to pray for someone and.....let me think how to put it. It just slips your mind? Do you think that some people do not take it very seriously nowadays?

i think it happens to all christians we get our mind on other things but we really should'nt let that happen our sisters and brothers in the lord need our prayers you do not need to pray a long prayer but we need to make sure we do what we say if not then we lied and that is a sin. What if God let our needs slip his mind?

I have faith in all people , if they say they will pray for you, then I know they will. Most Christians are not liars. They do as they say. When I say that I'll say a prayer for you, that is exactly what I do at night, when I hold my Holy Bible , read and then pray, for all on here. I pray that we can all find Peace and Love in our Hearts for all people. To find Peace on Earth. And to be kind and then when I especially pray for special needs of people, I then give Thanks unto the Lord, for listeniing to me. I always pray for the little children who suffer and go without. Praying that they do have parents who watch out for them. Thank you, Dear Lord.

No, it is the thought that counts but if you do forget and then suddenly you remember that you were going to pray for them just take a moment and sit down in silence and say a little prayer to agod aking Him to watch over the person.

Why say your are going to pray for someone just to say it and not do it. That would be lying. It's wrong. Just pray right then and there with the person who requested prayer, and there will be no reason to forget about it.

thank Paul for obsessive compulsive prayer and legalistic confessions and worrying about missing one and putting your soul in danger of hell fire jeopardy

the idea you can pray or do anything to affect your next life pervades many religions

you must believe you need to pray first

I do not, was a former Xian but see that no prayers and lots of answers later without praying to 'god' life is better, and I am living more like Jesus than a Christian or Paul-like

the two never met and promoted different values, one was universal love and social justice, the other was hate and elitism and blending myths and gnosticism to create what we call Xianity today

the best way to take care of this, is to say "Let me pray for you" and actually pray for them.. .right then and there. it will shock some folks when you actually pray out loud for them, right on the spot. also, you don't have to lie, or forget to pray. just pray with them and be done.

Saying you will do something, then not doing it, is called lying. That is a sin.
