I agree, how could people call Islam backwards. They obviously don't know a thing about Islam but yet so quick to judge.

You're making some faulty assumptions that don't follow logically. A.) Not all Americans believe that Islam is backwards. B) Most Americans do not believe in creationism. You might want to develop your critical thinking skills before attempting to discuss complicated issues. It's apparent that you aren't equipped for the task.

Most of America believes in Darwinism. The radical Christian kookoos have embraced creation. God is a bit too sophisticated
to do this in 7 days. He started the ball rolling and then He let it go wherever it wanted. AS for Islam, it seems to be the radicals who are backwards. I work with many Muslims, and none of them are killers(I hope)

Do you mean America the nation state or the individual people who live there? By no means does every American believe in creationism. I'm fairly certain of that.
If you want to talk American (the nation state, not the people), hypocracy, you might mention the US government's stated aim to spread democracy whilst at the same time giving free passes to police states like Saudi Arabia and Eygpt.
Another example of hypocracy would be the so-called religion of peace and love which condones (and encourages) the removal of the external genitals of prepubescent girls by means of a sharp stone and without pain-killers.
Oh yeah, I'm not American but please don't ask me "What about Canada?". Believe me, we're hyp-deep in it up here as well.

Funny, I have seen a lot of Americans in here speak For Evolution. So it isn't "America" that believes in creationism. There are Americans that believe in Creationism. And when they are ridiculed or put down about it, they don't go on a killing spree.

Some in America believe in creationism, but by no means all or even a majority do. No hypocrisy at all.

While not all americans believe in creationism, its the ones who do believe it who seem the most likely to belittle Islam. Its just religious intolerance speaking.

I am an American,
I am a Christian,
I DO NOT believe in creationism.
But I do consider Islam to be an evil religion of hate and violence that the world would be better off without.

beleif in creation does not relate to being backwards since most people reaslise that the world could not have just formed by accident, ( that would be just silly would'nt it)

It has more to do with its treatment of women, lack of housing as developed nations are used to and more
