Many NGO's have openings, but they usually look for experience. You could look up OxFam, Church World Service, CARE and Save The Children, to name a few, then look for "employment opportunities" on their web sites.

I was a Peace Corps Voulnteer 30 years ago. I search YA for "Peace Corps" (also for "Peace Corp" and "Peace Core", since spelling is a lost art) every once in a while. Most people who post questions about it write about their desires rather than their skills. They get upset when I say that good intentions aren't enough. You are much better educated than some. At a guess, you could teach ESL somewhere upriver.

To take an extreme example of skills, if you were a surgeon or a dentist whose parents were so rich that you didn't have any loans to pay back, the NGO's and the Peace Corps would fight over you.

At the other end of the skill spectum, for YA users, are people who didnt' quite finish high school and think the Peace Corps would be a good way to see the world.

Why not start by helping people here, in America? Check with your pastor. He will be able to point you in the right direction right here.
