YES!!

A cat has whiskers for a reason. They help them to measure distance among other things. Please don't do that.

Extremely bad. Cats not only use their whiskers to measure if their body fits in an opening but they also sense movement and air with them and also use them in their balance. Never, never cut a cats whiskers.

Yes!
Why would you want to trim your cat's whiskers??? I never heard of that before.
A cat needs its whiskers for many reasons including..judging the distance of a space its going thru, feel his way around, etc. Surely trimming them would distress/confuse the cat.

Yes, cats use those whiskers to measure whether they should go somewhere, like under the house or through a fence, and they need to know that their bodies will fit and they won't get stuck.

I hope this is just a rhetorical question and that you have not done, nor do you intend to do this.
Whiskers are an essential device for detection, gauging and generally helping a cat to make sense of its surroundings. To cut them off, or trim them would be like making you go around with cotton wool in your ears and wearing an eyepatch! So please do not cut them.
