accidents do happen,but is it alright to feel guilty even if was an accident?is it alright to feel the need to be punished for it?

I dont know how others handle it, but I dont dwell on the innocents that I killed. The car that tried running our road block had three 120mm artillery shells rigged to go off. There was a five year old girl in the back seat. She was probably innocent. Its unfortunate that the innocents die...but it happens. I feel guilty that she was killed. I dont feel the need for punishment. The memories are punishment enough, and God will be the ultimate judge when I pass on. I believe that I have taken all of the responsiblity that I could have taken for what happened.

yes it alright to feel guilty about it,that is how we know that we are good people
yes it is alright to feel the need to be punished for it because everyone has the right to feel anyway they feel. That doesn't mean that they do need to be punished because people are punished all the time for accidents. it's called involuntary man slaughter

i would take responsibility and feel really guilty, even if it was an accident. I would (obviously) try no to be in that situation again, or do what ever it was again (depending on what it was).
Unless there was a certain reason they died (such as I was drunk while driving and killed them) i dont think I should be punished because i would punish myself enough.

I'd say it's natural to feel guilt. Anybody who takes a life would be unhealthy if they did'nt feel horrible about it.
