The fact that you are wondering is a worry, besides the fact that what he did is illegal get this: NO ONE has the right to hit you EVER!!! no matter what they might think the reasons are.
dump him immediately!!!
statistics show that he will do it again and again and again and with every time you will lose a little more of your self esteem, enquire about domestic violence and gain a good understanding of abusers behaviours so you don't let this ever happen to you again.

Are you this desperate for a man? I can't believe you are asking this. After all the movies and information out there about men who are "wife beaters", you missed all of it? They never stop!!!!
Jails and prisons are full of these men, they have high self-esteem, they can do no wrong, it's alwasy somebody else's fault. Get a clue!!!!!!!!!!!!! and get out!!!!!. This is what society has bred with all this self awareness crap, high self-esteem,self this and self that, it's created a generation of monsters from both sexes.

Hit him with a baseball bat while he sleeps. Seriously...GET OUT OF THERE! Don't live in that type of violence, or environment. He obviously has anger issues, and needs therapy! It is not your fault at all, but a coward will always continue to blame you. Love doesn't hurt, GET OUT NOW!

Leave, press charges, get an order of protection, sue for medical bills. Get a tight support network and make his life suck legally for as long as you can. Make him wish he never touched you.

I would get away and seek immediate help. It's horrible that he hits, it's even worse for him to blame the person he hit.

he is a abuser and that is what abusers do they blame you, the postman and never admits he was the wrong one, once a abuser always a abuser get away from him and stay away from him. you do not deserve to be hit for any reason
