There's this guy at my school he just came this year and i've asked him out before but he said no he wanted to get to know me better we've talked more ever since that and I was thinking of asking him out again but a couple of days ago he asked me what my name was i can't belive it he didn't even know my name he borrowed like 5 pencils from me and never gave them back. Anyways I know him better and now he knows my name.Another thing we also have a dance coming up this month. Should I ask him out or not and if so when?

ask him to go to the dance with you
or jus ask him to dance, whichever
then look at the way he looks at you that night
there's a sure sign that he likes you if when you're dancing that he never takes his eyes off of you (and if he holds you close to him)
if he looks at other things and he's a bit farther back from you then he doesnt like you
hope he likes you
ask him out later if u felt something between the 2 of u

Well if you been talking 2 him for a while and he is just now asking your name maybe he's not interested in you and when he turned you down the first time and said he wants 2 get to know you that was his way of letting you down easy! i think you should leave him alone and if he likes you he will ask you to the dance or even ask you out! good luck

Approach him and say "Sooo, are you going to the dance?" If he says no, ask him why and try to encourage him to go. If he says yes, kindly ask who he's decided to go with. If he hasn't asked anyone, ask him to go with you as friends. If he already has a date, then your chances are pretty much busted. Ask him ASAP before he already finds another date.

Are u guys friends? If yes casually ask him if he was going out with anybody. if he says dont be heartbroken. If he says no or gives a non-committal reply, then tell him that u would like to go out with him.or do you know any of his friends or your friends who know him or his friends,do some spy work!

No. Now that he knows you like him, let him ask you to the dance. And if he doesn't, look elsewhere because he's not interested. And ask him for your pencils back.
