No, no trick, I'm just wondering if youd think I'm insane or if you would agree with me.

I would say it only appears that way.

Actually, the earth's rotation will cause it to turn back toward the sun.

I'd say "of course it would."

This sounds like a misunderstanding of "faith," partially because people throw the word around a lot.

"Faith" in God isn't the same as "faith" that the Sun will rise tomorrow or that medical science will work.

The first definition of "faith" is "belief without evidence," although for some it can even be taken to "belief against evidence."

The second usage of "faith" is "belief WITH evidence." Being an atheist, I don't really jive with the use of "faith" and "belief," though.

There is no evidence of God's existence. It takes a leap of faith to believe in God.

There IS evidence that the Sun rises every day, as it has risen and set every day for billions of years. It does not take a leap of faith to "believe" that the Sun will rise tomorrow morning.

I would wait until the sun came up tomorrow and then I would sing your praise as a prophet of the Lord. I would devote my life to following you, for only the Lord could have bestowed upon you such great knowledge of future events.

Well, I'm not an atheist.....but I know that the sun doesn't "rise"....so, I'm guessing your point is, that although atheist may argue scientific reasoning, they aren't necessarily aware of the obvious.

I would say you were wrong. Tomorrow, when the Earth spins into the proper part of it's orbit, the Sun will appear to rise.

Congratulations, you're starting to get the hang of scientific method.
Form hypothesis. Test. Repeat.

I'll wait until tomorrow to find out. Besides tomorrow may never come.

I would say I know. Unless someone gave me scientific evidence to the contrary.
