Why wouldn't you have thought of this before? Unless it was JUST ripped today? This is extremely important and I hope it all works out for you. But without proper documentation it IS possible you will not be going on your cruise. They don't have to let you on, paid or not. If this is the case to please know that you are not entitled to any money back because it is the client’s responsibility for proper documentation. This IS the law and it isn't Carnival who can ok if they can accept this or not they only follow the rules. I know this isn’t the answer you’re wanting, but you obviously want and need the truth of the potential severity of your situation.

Birth Certificate ripped in 4 pieces, that is very very bad and I don't mean to make you nervous I'm just giving you the honest truth in my experience and again when it comes down to it I know you wouldn't have meant for this to happen, but in a case there is no one to blame except yourself even though of course it was unintentional.

I can tell you one thing though the airlines say if you were flying internationally while the Birth Certificates with license were still in place would NOT be letting you board that flight. You would be lucky if that airline would put you on a flight the next day after getting that proper documentation, because technically you missed your flight and they don't have to put you on another. They could make you buy a new ticket.

Try to contact your local travel agent that is if you booked it through an agent, if you booked on your own you will need to call Carnival. Best of luck to you, but I just think this isn't going to turn out well for your vacation.....

It has no longer something to do with a particular cruise line, yet quite US Customs (for the ships beginning up and ending contained in the US). a central authority qualified beginning certificates is needed, or a passport. The beginning certificates needs to be the 1st rate one with a seal, no longer a wellbeing midsection certificates. Carnival won't assist you on the deliver without perfect documentation. in case you arrive without perfect certificates, you shouldn't be occurring your cruise. you would be able to desire to pass on your interior sight government records organization, whether it truly is your county registrar, your state's Secretary of State workplace, or anyplace the 1st rate certificates are stored the place your daughters have been born, and get carry of a qualified reproduction with the raised seal. additionally in the event that they seem to be a definite age, you will additionally desire a central authority issued image identity for them. i'm uncertain what the top age is for this requirement, yet examine with Carnival earlier you pass away homestead. If each little thing isn't top, you shouldn't be allowed on board. back, it is not because of the fact of Carnival, yet because of the US government. So it isn't the cruise line's fault, or coverage from one cruise line to a diverse. additionally, if the two of your little ones's final names are diverse (in case you're remarried, and so on), in the event that they're step little ones, and/or if the two organic mothers and dads are no longer likely with them on the cruise, have the be certain that no longer likely sign a checklist pointing out that they have got your permission to take the youngsters in another united states on a cruise, and get it notarized. Or in case you have sole custody of your little ones, take the courtroom order, and so on., or besides the fact that is optimal. loss of this documentation may additionally forestall you from boarding do you have to be in that difficulty.

I don't recall needing a birth certificate to board there in San Pedro. I only recall needing to show it to immigration authorities when you return. Of course I could be mistaken in today's' atmosphere, however, if I'm right then just go on the cruise, show the torn certificate to immigration when you return. They don't know it tore before you boarded, it could have torn on the ship by "accident". Or you could try scotch taping it and then getting a color copy at Kinkos on the way. If your son is a student, have him bring a school I D if he has one. You can also bring a family photo from home of all of you together just in case. BON VOYAGE
