I met a girl recently and I like her. However I don't have any clear signs that she would actually like me (the signs are very vague...) Shall I still give it a try and ask her out?

If you can sluff off rejection easily without care then by all means ask her out. If you are afraid of rejection and she doesn't seem too 'into you' then its best not to ask her out. Wait until she's responsive and you know she likes you.
If someone you aren't interested in dating comes up and asks you out, will you accept even if you don't like them that way? What if you yourself are hoping to date someone else and you're asked?
My suggestion is make her more interested in dating you first. Find out what she likes in guys and mimic it. Depending on her culture and social upbringing she may want a guy who appears wealthy, may want a gentle and kind hearted guy, or may just want someone cooler than the rest of her friend.
The only part of rejection thats scary is her telling her friends, them telling their friends and so on.

Why not? Whats the worst that she is going to say NO?
You might just be surprised if you ask.
But if you dont ask then how will you ever know?
You may let someone really special walk right out of your life if you dont ask!

I guess it is the only way to figure it out, huh? Just ask her, no need in regreting something later....my life would probably be much different if I had just mustered up the balls to ask such a simple question

Yes, it's worth a try. Ask her if she has a b/f first. If you don't want to ask her, have someone else ask or find out some other kind of way. Because if she does have a b/f, you don't want to end up embarrassing yourself.

You will never know unless you ask . In order to attain any thing in life you will have to stick your neck out and take a chance , what is the worst she can do ? Say no .

don't worry about it. all you can do is ask her out and if she says yes then great and if she says no to a second date then move on. and if she says no the frist time you ask her out then the hell away with her move on. in life your going to get that. thats way we call it dating.
