I am in the Petroleum equipment industry. I actually work for three separate companies. 1) Branch Manager for a Petro Parts Distributor. 2) Service Manager for a Petro Equipment Service provider, set up in 7 Metro Cities... 3) Project Coordinator for a Petro based construction company.
All three companies are owned by the same man. However, I have key roles within each. I am paid a separate salary for each of them. In regards to your "how much" question... Well, just one of the companies provides more than I need... However, I earn every cent I make!

I'm a mechanic at an equipment rental business. I've been working there for a week now. I get paid $14.50 an hour. I hate it.
I used to be in the military in charge of more than 50 men. I ran a maintenance facility as the section leader. Now I'm just a shmo and make less than half of what I used to.

Accounts receivable (including collection calls) also do a little bit of minor tech support and checking of other people's work there (modifying orders) (I have a degree in computer science so I am detail oriented). I get paid $12/hour. I have been with the company 3 years. Best job I have ever had. (and boy have I had some lousy ones!)

I work in reality television as an associate producer... would rather not say what I get paid but an AP average between $1100-$1600 a week depending on the show.
I do like it...well, I like this show but have radically disliked others.

Aircraft technician for a major airline. We once made $36 an hour but that was before 9/11. Now with all the outsourcing overseas and crooked judges and politicians I am down to $27ish an hour and of course I lost my pension.
Do I like it? Well I have seen better days.

I'm a soldier in the Army National Guard, so I only get paid for monthly drill, which is only $90 somethin' after everything is taken out. I'm still searching for a civilian job.
