Buying a lemon means what you bought didn't perform as advertised. A new car that gives you nothing but trouble, needs constant repairs would be a lemon.

It means you bought a car (or something) that's no good.. always something wrong with it. If you did buy a bad car, check out the lemon laws, because consumers have rights when buying "lemons" from dealerships.
