I still havent gotten my period 11mths after delivery because I've continued breastfeeding. I just asked a similar question and apparently it differs for each woman who is breastfeeding. A lot of women said as soon as they stopped nursing, others said they had it sooner. If you're giving formula every other feeding, you might get it sooner than when you decide to stop entirely. It depends on how susceptible your body is to the additional hormones caused by nursing I take it. You can still get pregnant though before you notice your first period, so be aware of that.

If you are breast feeding it could be when you stop your periods will return, however, I fully breast fed my babies and I got my periods within 6 weeks of delivery and they continued as normal despite feeding for well over 12 months

I breastfed exclusively and got a period around 4 months after giving birth. Good luck!

I got mine like a month after. So be aware after you stop bleeding. Keep pads or tampons on you after two weeks have gone by.
