I go out for a drink every now and then and I always get a pint of Guinness. They always make it perfect in the Golf Club. But I heard they were thinking of abolishing it after their sales dropped 8%. It's my favourite type of beer and it's a real Irish thing. The whole experience of getting it, watching then pour it, all that ia absolutely great. What do ye think?

Rumours rumours rumours!! Not a chance of Guinness being dropped. Probably one of their competitors started that little story; wishful thinking on their behalf. Like other industries, alcohol sales are subject to cycles. At the moment its the lager beers that are on the rsie, but this will change again in time, as tastes change, and you'll always find plenty of people drinking Guinness, in Ireland and all over the world. So fear not and enjoy a pint of the black stuff!!

We have Guinness here in Belgium( Antwerp) it is splendid and as good as in Ireland (by the way my husband is Irish!) the price is expensive.
I don't think it will disappear because its a good product it would be a disaster for Irish economy.GUINNESS BEER IS GOOD FOR YOU! And they even serve it in Irish hospitals for health.

God, I hope not! They might first try lowering the price to get the sales back up. Hopefully they wouldn't lower the quality to maintain the profit margin. Or they might sell the brand to another brewery who could market it better.

Guiness is an institution. If they go under I think the odds are good that someone else will get the recipe and the rights to it.

Abolishing is a little harsh. Your favorite bar/store may not carry it anymore if there is a lack of demand.
