The way Rogaine works won't counteract shedding. Shedding is triggered by the changes in sunlight, or other light sources around the cat, as the sun tilts with the seasons. Rogaine simply stimutaes the hair to grow again.

NO - Rogaine is for human's. Ask your vet if you have a shedding problem - but the best thing to do is brush your cat daily and that really helps.

don't even think about trying it. It's made for humans and will kill or make your cat very sick.
Brushing really helps. If he is med to long haired shedding is going to be more prominent.
It's natural and you will have to put up with it.
I had a med long haired cat and she shedded most of the year, except late summer. I brushed her twice a day and couldn't believe how much hair I got out of her. Which means less to clean up.

I think they shed for their own good, I would just brush them daily...but if you want to charge little kids 5.00 to see a bearded cat, you could charge them .50 cents to tug on it.

shedding is a natural occurance twice a year -- if you don't like it there are breeds that shed less than others.
