I had braces on for about 2 years and when I got mine taking of I was in the same situation that you were in and my best advice would be to go to Target or any store that has crest whiting strips and use them because that is what I did! They aren't to bad in price and I had a friend that had hers professional whitened and my looked just as good as hers did! So, I wouldn't spend the money even if I had it! And I believe that a regular toothbrush is just as good because if it wasn't then they would tell you that at the dentist and they would probably give you electric ones instead then! But my other friend works at a dentist office and they tell people all the time not to spend the money it's not any different! As long as you brush twice a day, floss, and use mouth wash!

Electronic toothbrushes are way better than regular toothbrushes. I am surprised your orthodontist didn't have you using one while you had your braces on. I use one with a round head because it reaches into tight places better, don't go for ones with big heads because they don't work as well...I think mine is an Oral B....you can also get replacement heads for them too rather than throwing out the entire toothbrush....

I have heard that the Crest Whitening strips are pretty good for whitening teeth....and they are not super expensive. I don't recommend those ones that you paste on because they don't stay on....go for the strips that you put on your teeth...they will work better and give you more noticeable results....

Good luck! I can't wait until I can finally get my braces off!

I had braces twice and I think the electronic tooth brush is the best method and well worth the money. I also you can use whiting mouth wash. Its also good to use the whitening strips I use crest they are kind of expensive but totally work well better than the stuff you brush on!

use crest white strips or bleach trays and a electronic tooth brush cleans your teeth way better than a regular one.

get a normal one because if the electric toothbrush slips your gums will be in a whole lot of pain
