The first rotor blades were made of laminated wood with a metal (aluminum) spar. The Bell 47 has these type and would be the easiest to make. Sorry I don't have material specs for you but I wouldn't use just any kind of wood or aluminum.
Carbon fibre or Kevlar with a foam or honeycomb core would also be good, but you still would have to have the right weave and orientation of fabric to make one strong enough.
Remeber that there is an insane amount of force on these blades. If one of them snaps you won't have to worry about the crash. Your neck will snap by the time one revolution is made

Im not sure if you can make it yourself. You need some extremely good machining skills to make a rotor that is balanced correctly.
I suggest you buy one. it shouldnt be more than what your life is worth.

don't worry, anyone who makes one without knowing what they should be made of will not fly. Just beware of high velocity debris departing your craft.

of Metalloy+aurum or cuprum or neon or aspirin or cocacola or jackdaniel, you named it,
go find them at any stiton or depots near by,
