Stay as far away as possible from anyone who shows disrespect for society's laws or who shows that he or she doesn't care to be a good.responsible citizen.

Don't choose friends that are always in trouble with the police.
Know what you are doing is legal (if you are unsure research it).
Avoid getting into fights- just leave the scene, I know it can feel good to whack someone who's bugg1ing you but usually it's just not worth it.
Avoid drugs. Get a job (so you don't break the law out of boredom).

The ten commandments plus the golden rule cover most of it. There are still a few points of law that could get you into trouble, like speeding, or removing that tag from your new matress, (not covered in the above).
