I'd like to host shower for best friend but live out of state. I'd take care of all the planning/prep/food/decorations/cleanup,etc..

I don't see why not as long as, like you stated, the MTB wouldn't have to actually do any work at all. Do you have a friend that lives nearby that can help take care of some of the details ahead of time, just in case? And of course, a friend who will get the MTB out of the house, if it's going to be a surprise?! If so, then it shouldn't be a problem - just make sure she doesn't feel compelled to work because it's done in her house.

I don't see why not, if the Mom-to-be is up to it, since you plan to make all of the arrangments. That way, too, she doesn't have to lug all of her loot home and lift while pregnant, especially if she gets something heavy. Heck, you could even tell her that if/when you ask her about having the shower at her house.

If you're going to take care of all that, it might be a quite practical idea. That would save the mom transporting all the gifts back home, and more of her family could probably attend.

If you're doing the preparation/clean-up and the mother-to-be is agreeable to the location, go for it! Additionally, it's a great way to eliminate the hassle of having to transport the gifts back to her home.

Yes especially when it is a single mother. It saves her the hassle of having to figure out how she will carry all the gifts home.

most baby showers are at the new mom to be's house.. it is easier for her to be home rather than anohter place, she would have to move the gifts and she should be more comfortable there ......have a nice shower

Id say so, as long as the little mom approves and you volunteer to clean up.

Yeah it's fine. She might be more comfortable in her home anyways.

Doesn't really matter, the choice is yours or theirs.
