Yes . If a Juvenile court see that the student has a good school attendance record and and has a good conduct record.he or she is usually willing to give the juvenile another chance, Good students are assumed to be smart enough to realize that society's laws are meant to protect them.

It depends on the judge.
Different judges have different opinions on what proves favorable character.
I don't think any judge would consider a school record when it comes to deciding if a defendant was guilty or innocent, but if the defendant is found guilty of a crime, the grade-point average, attendence-record and school activities may be taken into account to determine how harsh a punishment should be given out.
School-related information is a part of how the juvenile is perceived as a "total-person." If the person has a lousy attendence record and failed many classes, they are establishing a pattern of failing as a total person. A judge may be likely to give a harsher punishment to that juvenile as a "wake up call." A person who has proven they are or can be a productive member of society as an adult will be more likey to receive leniance and have the crime be seen as a "lapse in judgement" as opposed to furthering a fostering career as a criminal.
Other things that a judge may take into account on how harsh a punishment should be dealt are: is the juvenile a caretaker for a disabled/elderly person; do they volunteer for charitable/community causes; are they a member of a youth group in good standing (Boy/Girl Scouts, Explorers, SADD, etc); active in a church-related activity; any prior convictions/arrests.
Trust me... lawyers on both sides will argue about the character of the defendant during juvenile court proceedings. A good school record can help immensely.

Yes it sure can go a long way for the judge to see that this may a one time occurrence to a juvenile. It really depends on the what the kid did.

It can't hurt!! seeing that your pretty much too young to work and kids are expected to go to school and get decent grades, everyone makes a mistake or two especially when they are young, it's what they LEARN from that.

For a first time appearance, probably after the first time, probably neglible. If anything the judge would probably say where are your brains if you're here again and you're supposedly a ' smart' student.
