I have a HP Compaq, 8 mo old, installed Ella, Norton Anti Virus & Pest Patrol. I have DSL. I have not received mail since Oct 4. My ISP said everything was fine on their end. My yahoo mail and other email works fine. My internet works fine. If I send myself a message it goes in the deleted mail folder. Anyone have any answers to this?

Try disabling your anti-virus and spyware programs and see if the mail works ok then.
If not check to see if there are any rules enabled as the other poster suggested that might be re-directing your mail between folders.
Check your mail configuration to ensure it is correctly set up with the right "pop" and "smtp" servers, and your username and password are correct.
If that doesn't work try another mail client such as Thunderbird (very similar to Outlook Express) and set it up with the same configuration as your OE setup and see if it has the same problems. ONE NOTE OF CAUTION: If you use another mail client look for options to "leave mail on server" or all of your mail could be downloaded to the second email client.

Sounds like you've set up a rule which is sending mail directly to deleted mail or added your own address to blocked senders or its possibly your Nortons or pest patrol.
