Its safe. Times Square and Penn Station---"Well Guarded" since 9-11. Not only in the trains, outside too. At anytime day or night there are people walking,shopping, sitting, taking pics ifo M.S.G. taking in the sites, enjoying N.Y. The distance between the 2 is about 8-10 blocks up 7th or 8th ave. Anywhere you go in the U.S.----you have to be careful with money and valuables. Dont miss a chance visiting, see it for yourself.

All of the people who talk about robbers and being careful, obviously dont live in NY. While I might not walk thru the woods of Central Park at 2am (actually its cloosed, but there are no gates) Ive walked almost anywhere at anytime.

everywhere is safe if you limit the money/valuables you have with you and stay on well traveled, well lite areas. if your scared then just get a cab. but do go out and enjoy life.
